This Perfect Sugar Cookie recipe from Chef in Training are soft and chewy, and the buttercream is perfectly fluffy! The combination of vanilla and almond extract gives them amazing flavor!
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • ½ teaspoon almond extract
  • 2 Tablespoon milk
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1½ teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt

BUTTERCREAM FROSTING:
  • ⅔ cup butter, softened
  • 3 cups powdered sugar, add more depending on personal preference
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 Tablespoons heavy whipping cream, add more or less depending on personal preference. You can also use milk instead.
  • food coloring if you want to change up the color.
